Digital simulation is a key issue in many sectors nowadays, from content creation to design and engineering. Computers have evolved considerably in the last 20 years and their high performance today has made possible things that seemed like science-fiction only a few years ago. Next Limit has been focused on the creation of innovative simulation tools for the last 12 years, creating different applications for Computer Graphics, Science and Engineering. Next Limit’s vision combines the accuracy of mathematical algorithms with the artistic nature of modern visualization concepts, inspiring the concept of fusing art and science. Their products, RealFlow, Maxwell Render, and XFlow are a clear example of this. Victor Gonzalez will introduce these technologies in the historical context of hardware and software evolution and a digitalization of the media and the environment
