Gerardo Cartón is Director of [PIAS] Spain, Sales and Distribution Company of Belgium, since it started it Spanish activity independently. He is board member of UFI since the association's foundation in 2003. He is a lifetime musician; he began as bassist and singer of Micromachines and Radio 77 and DJ at Vía Lactea, Agapo or Jam. At Surco he was involved in the launches of key indie records like “Pizza Pop” by Australian Blonde or “Devil came to me” by Dover. He later switches to Mastertraxx where he created Masterdance label, specialised in electronic and dance music. With the Belgian label [PIAS] he is in charge of artists like Magnetic Fields, Garbage, Muse, Ash, Mogwai or Sigur Ros in Spain.

In addition he goes to 20 Music Festivals a year, he is DJ (DJ el Chico Bionico-the Bionic boy-, and half of 2 PIAS Dj’s), Capitán Espiritual del Ship and currently writing a novel, he collaborates with ROCKDELUX, La Vanguardia and Mono Brutto.
