Guillermo Christen has been developing software for the web for 10+ years but started programming at the age of 12. He studied Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology, focusing on Artificial Intelligence. During his stay in the United States he joined SkillFusion, a startup that focused on code generation and UML based web application design. After school and SkillFusion he returned to Peru to start his own company: Prome Consulting. After 2.5 years he sold his stake in the business and moved to (T-Mobile) in Amsterdam, The Netherlands to pursue larger scale architecture problems.

In late 2009 Guillermo approached the TV Genius team to work on recommendations, search and content discovery. As Head of Development he led the technical and product roadmap and spear headed projects in TV social analytics and the Social TV experience. After the acquisition of TVGenius by RedBeeMedia, Guillermo has started to focus on the convergence of Social TV, Rich Metadata, Content Discovery and the second screen experience and it's potential to fundamentally modify the way people watch TV.
