Gumersindo Lafuente is journalist. He is currently deputy director of El País and responsible of its digital strategy. Between 2007 and 2009 he founded and directed soitu.es. From 2000 to 2006 he directed elmundo.es. Previously he was deputy chief of El Mundo and El Pais Domingo for two years and El País Semanal during six years. He began his work as a journalist in 1977 in Ya, journal already disappeared.
