Margarita Solis is Director of the Instituto Jalisciense de Tecnologias de la Informacion A.C. (IJALTI). This Institute is in charge of developing Information Technology, Microelectronics and Multimedia in the State of Jalisco. 

After graduating from Industrial Engineering from Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO) with Summa Cum Laude Honors, she received a masters degree in Informatics and Information Systems at the ITESO. Following, a Strategic Marketing Graduate program at the ITESO as well. 

She led a special program supported by the United States and Mexico Foundation for Science to develop Regional Embedded SW Capabilities. This program was sponsored by both, the federal government, and the Jalisco Science and Technology Council.

Ms. Solis is a business and technology consultant, a certified Radio Frequency Identification Supply Chain Manager (RFID SCM), and she is currently a professor at the Pan-American University. She has a strong technical background in safe automation as general manager of “Pilz de México S. de R.L. de CV” which HQ is Pilz GmbH&Co, located in Ostfildern, Germany. In addition, she has a vast experience in logistics and supply chain management.

Margarita Solis is highly committed to develop high technology in Mexico. Currently she is in charge of Centro del Software supporting more than 38 Software Companies, and she is responsible to develop two Parks, one for Multimedia and another for Information Technology.
