Michel Messina is 53 years old, graduated in Cinematography at the Faculté de Vincennes in Paris; he has a Master in Marketing and Communications. He speaks several languages including English, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese

In June 2007, he joined Telefonica Cable as Director of Multimedia Contents, responsible for the acquisition of audiovisual content for television and new media. He is in charge of the strategy of Multimedia Audiovisual Contents and the Interactive Services of Telefonica IPTV (Imagenio Movistar TV), Web TV and TV Mobile. He is also an expert in Intellectual Property Law, representing business of digital content against piracy through Redtel Organization and member of the Task Force on Digital Content Ametic Association.

In January 2002 he worked at Terra Networks, the Internet Company of Telefonica Group as Director of Strategic Alliances due to manage the relationship with Bertelsmann Group in the acquisition of Terra Lycos.

In January 2000, he joined Vodafone as Business Development Corporate Manager in London to manage the alliance with Vivendi Universal. He participated in the succeeding launch of Vodafone Live!, as well as other web and mobile services in every European countries.

He and his team designed the global content strategy of Vodafone in UK, Germany, Holland, Italy and Spain.

In 1998 he worked for Vodafone Spain (known as Airtel at that time) in Madrid as Director of Entertainment Contents for Internet and mobile services. In that period he worked together with the general manager of Navegalia, first mobile portal and of Internet in Spain and winner of Intenet Awards to the best portal in 1998 and 1999.
