Evolution of cross-platform performance of sporting events. Coverage of the Olimpic Games

The evolution of the digital market, with the emergence of new media platforms that deliver multimedia content, has changed the way in which an audiovisual medium like RTVE makes sport events. It changed the distribution of a single broadcast signal to a single television channel to a simultaneous distribution of multiple signals to broadcasts and broadband channels. We will review the coverage of the Summer Olympics in RTVE, going from the classic TV games to the RTVE commitment for the next Olympic Games, London 2012. During these games we will not only offer the traditional TV signal, but up to 14 additional signals. These will be available in different formats and platforms (PC, tablets, mobile phones, connected TVs…)
