The purpose of the exhibition lies in making known to the audience what does the intellectual property mean and its importance in the technological and cultural development as well as its impact on the economy. Then, it will raise digital contents issue, starting with a brief definition of them, exposition of some form of licensing and protection of intellectual property rights environment. There will be discussed some examples related to the use of digital content that have had harmful effects in Mexico when not respecting intellectual property rights, and finally it will discuss about actions aimed at protection of digital content that the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property has taken place
