64% of online purchases have previously used search in the process.*
Your online store visitors can be broken into two groups, on one side the ones that want to check out and browse through your catalogue, and on the other side, the ones that have something in mind and have an specific buy intent. This second group tends to use the search box on your site, and in most cases, the language they’ll use will not match the one from your catalogue of products. If your search engine is not capable of understanding the query and matching it to a product or related service, that’s a new sale opportunity missed!
Searchandising refers to the art of adapting your online shop’s search and recommendation engine to your visitor’s language and behaviour in order to maximise conversion.
In this round table we will discuss with leaders in online retail (entertainment, fashion and Office products) on the impact that onsite search has on sales and new lead generation.
